About K9 Snaps

K9 snaps originally started on the Beach in Somerset back in 2013. It started as a fun hobby and developed into a small business.

Martin and Charlotte took joint photos of dogs having an absolute blast on the beach while on their holiday’s and more often than not when their owners saw the photo’s they asked if they could have them!

Eventually, the facebook page, the bark side of weston-super-mare was created. It’s original purpose was to help book in photo sessions but it soon evolved into a community 10,000 strong and has raised money through calendars for dog rescues in the North Somerset area.

Martin still runs the bark side of weston-super-mare but has (for the time being) retired from dog photography.

Charlotte, however, has moved to Didcot in Oxfordshire after completing her degree from the University of Birmingham. She works full time in the environmental sector but shares her father’s love of photography.

She has recently adopted a rescued greyhound named Missy who is one of K9 snaps ambassador dogs!

Charlotte does charity work with local dog rescue fundraising events. Here are some of the photos from these events below. Charlotte also puts forward free photo-sessions as raffle prizes regularly for dog rescue fundraising events and donates 25% of proceeds from sighthound photo sessions to the forever hounds trust.
