Locations across Oxfordshire to choose from
The location at which a photo session takes place is important for guaranteeing the most from your photography session. This is why I have a list of set locations for you to choose from where environmental factors and lighting are highly considered.
While I am happy to travel for more bespoke locations depending on the needs of your family, I would urge you to consider the location below.
Please note: Locations more that 20 miles away from Didcot are charged at 50p a mile extra to cover travel costs.
Snelsmore Common, near Newbury
Featuring heathland, heather, ferns, woodland with some open grassy areas. This is one of my favourite locations to photograph at all times of the year. Including peak season for heather blooming. This falls within 20 miles of Didcot therefore there is no extra charge.
Abbey Meadows, Abingdon, Oxfordshire
Featuring an open field and picturesque gardens. Abbey meadows offers a more urban setting. Featuring the stone ruins of the abbey and beautiful gardens in the spring. It can get quite busy so not ideal for dog reactive dogs.
Bagley Woods, Kidlington, Oxford
Bagley Woods offers a beautiful woodland location all year round. A mix of pine trees and ancient woodland there are plenty of mossy logs and open areas that create the most beautiful images all year round. This location also features bluebells in the Spring.
Mowbray Fields, Didcot, Oxfordshire
In May the fields turn bright yellow with buttercups. I offer mini sessions here during May. Otherwise this is often done alongside the locations in Didcot. Open south facing fields allow perfect lighting all year round. This session also includes millenium woods in Didcot.
Ipsden Heath, near Reading
This location is a woodlands trust exclusive location. The woods in April are covered in Bluebells and the gorse flowers readily here. The woodlands offer many mossy logs. Your dog must have good recall at this location.
This location has a £10 fuel surcharge
Enclosed Fields Across Oxfordshire
Perhaps for your peace of mind you would prefer the session take place an an enclosed field. They are the best locations to get clean action shots and to capture your dog in their happy place without any concern of them escaping:
- Blewbury Dog Field (pictured above)
- Leads off and Love it
- Hagbourne dog field
- Wallingford dog field
Location surcharge equal to cost to book the field.
Other locations
Weston-Super-Mare, Beach & Sea front
There is of course a fuel surcharge for this location of 50p a mile meaning there is an extra £47 on top for this location. However, if your dog loves the beach and splashing around in the waves this is an ideal location to get some photos at the beach! There's a wide range of shots for all types of dog.
Sutton Park, Birmingham
There is a fuel surcharge for this location of 50p a mile meaning an extra £43 on top. But this location offers heather, ferns and open spaces.
Cotswold Lavender & Somerset Lavender
Cotswold Lavender peak season is throughout July. Set dates ONLY. Entrance to the site is not included in session pricing.
