Your Photo Session

Before the day...

Once the deposit has been paid and we have agreed a date, we will have phone call to identify what you would like to get out of the session.

We will discuss which location would suit you and your family best. We take into account the seasons, the weather and distance from both yourselves and K9 Snaps. We will agree a time and location to meet.

I will check the weather and advise you what to wear and bring the day before and will confirm the session is going ahead.

On the day, you just need to sit back and relax and let the photographer do all the work. She will instruct you on the day to get the best photos of you and your family. Don't worry about things like leads and collars or anything else. That will be dealt with in post processing. It is important you engage with the session and listen closely when it comes to instruction. I always say you get out what you put in!

After the session...

We will arrange another video call to go through the image previews so you can determine which images you liked best and which ones you would like to be processed depending on the session type you have booked. You will get to pick your favourites and ask me for my opinion. If there are any changes you would like to make we can discuss them in the video session. We will also decide whether you would like your dog to wear collars and other editing options.

The images are then processed in lightroom and photoshop to bring out the best of the images. See a sneak peak behind the scenes below!

The retouching process

I will usually spend up to an hour processing each image. This is very time consuming but it's where the magic happens! Collars and leads are removed, dust is removed from the fur. Eyes are brighted to capture what our eyes see. The images then get sent to a printer which shows off the intricate details of your photos.

Art and Prints

If your session includes Art work or Prints, you will be able to let me know in the video call which ones you would like as prints.
